Everyone loves a good bouquet of flowers, right? They not only do wonders when it comes to brightening a room up but they are just as good at giving your mood a boost – especially when the weather has been as horrible as it has been lately! So, this in mind, when Debenhams Flowers got in contact with me and asked me to pick out a bouquet from their Valentine’s flowers range I definitely wasn’t going to say no!
I opted for the standard Pink Rose and Lily* bouquet which, as the name states, is made up of six beautiful pink roses and four stunning pink lilies. While the idea of having a bouquet made entirely of pink flowers might be off-putting to some, I think the variety of shades that the flowers have give it much more dimension and as a fan of roses, but not red ones, I feel that the pink gives off a romantic yet sophisticated feel! While the lilies are just simply beautiful and are currently filling my room with the most gorgeous smell! In short, I think the choice of flowers and shades of pinks have been tastefully chosen; they work well to complement each other and the pinks stand out beautifully against the dark green leaves surrounding them! The flowers themselves arrived, on a day of my choice, perfectly well wrapped and secured in a large box, inside of which I also found the usual care instructions and sachet of flower food. SO having trimmed the ends of my flowers, I found a pretty little vase and my flowers were ready to display!
When the bouquet arrived on Friday the lilies were in bud form but each day over the weekend I was waking up to find that they had opened just a tad more before finally on Monday I had a few that had fully bloomed. Once the lilies began to open they gave way to the post vibrant splash of pink that perfectly finished the bouquet off!
I have to admit that I am very impressed with the service from Debenhams, they kept me constantly in the loop and not only were they able to give me a delivery date, but an approximate time slot for the arrival of my flowers too which made planning my day so much easier! The price range for the flowers is what I would class as reasonable too, with this bouquet costing £29.99 but with prices starting from as low as £19.99 for a bouquet from the Valentines range. Postage is also low at just £2.99 if you would like tracked delivery (which I always think is worth the extra pennies) and guaranteed named day delivery or if you’re not too fussed then you have the option to opt for the free standard delivery service!
And as if their prices weren’t already acceptable enough, Debenhams have very kindly given me a 25% off code for all of you to enjoy this Valentines! The discount unfortunately excludes the flowers by post range, however this is quite small anyway so I’m certain that you can still find a beautiful bouquet to spoil someone with! Just remember to enter the code DFBLOG25 during checkout to enjoy the discount!
